DESCRIPTION:New England Watercolor Society Signature Members Show: Open February 4 – March 2 at the Guild of Boston Artists on Newbury Street in Boston\, which features paintings of over 80 signature members showcasing some of the best examples of  watercolors in the region. Look for paintings by WSA members Jill Crossman Anderson\, Nelson Hammer\, Yale Nicolls\, Yvonne Posa and Nan Rumpf. The WSA would like to congratulate Yale Nicolls who was awarded the Framers Workshop award for her painting “King of the Lake”. \n\n\n\n\nAwards Reception – Saturday\, February 8\, 2-4pm. \n\n\nPainting Demonstrations: \nJean-Francois Arnaud (Juror) – Thursday\, January 30\, 5-7pm \nRobert O’Brien – Sunday\, February 16\, 2pm \nDylan McKnight – Sunday\, February 23\, 2pm \nCarolyn Latanision – Sunday\, March 2\, 2pm

DESCRIPTION:Join the WSA\, in partnership with the Wellesley Free Library for an evening of inspiration for artists\, art lovers and anyone looking to spark their creativity. Every artist has experienced the dreaded  “creative block” when inspiration and ideas are hard to find\, or maybe you feel your subject matter has become overdone and you need to explore a new direction? WSA members Carol Bershad and Nan Rumpf created “Art Sparks” a deck of cards with unique prompts to help artists ignite the creative process. Join us for an introduction to “Art Sparks” with its creators Carol and Nan on February 4\,  7:00-8:00pm at the Wellesley Free Library. Free and open to the public. All attendees will be entered for a chance to win an “Art Sparks” deck.
