The WSA welcomes new members, please read carefully below to learn more…

The WSA has two membership categories, Exhibiting Member and Associate Member.

Exhibiting member status is for people who have achieved a level of competency in their artwork and are prepared to show their work in juried exhibitions. In order to become an exhibiting member applicants must first be juried by the WSA jury committee.

Associate member status is open to anyone who wishes to support the mission of the WSA, would like to become involved in the WSA and wants to support the arts in the community.

How do I become an “Exhibiting Member” ?

To become an exhibiting member, applicants submit a small portfolio of work including a brief artist statement statement written in the third person, which is reviewed by the WSA jury committee. Artwork must be the artist’s original design, in concept  (i.e. from life, the artist’s own idea or reference such as photo taken by the artist) and execution completely done by the artist’s own hand. This process is all done online. The jury committee reviews the artwork and then notifies the applicant of their decision. This process is usually completed in less than a week. Please note, the WSA accepts only two–dimensional artwork and does not accept photography, textiles, glass or metal work.   To initiate the jury process to become an Exhibiting Member and receive additional information, please submit the form below.

Annual Membership Fee for Exhibiting Members is $50, and should be paid only after the applicant has received notification of jury acceptance.

If applicants are not approved as an exhibiting member they may apply once per 12-month period.
