WSA Website Privacy Statement (approved and posted July 12, 2017)
Wellesley Society of Artists, Inc. (“WSA”) has created this Privacy Statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy. In using our site, we want to provide a safe, secure experience. We will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you submit to us remains private. Because we receive many types of information from our users, we feel you should fully understand our policy and the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This Privacy Statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it.
There are times when we may need information from you that personally identifies you such as your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and other identifiers. WSA uses your information to better understand your needs and provide you with the best service available. We also use your information to help you request or update information, participate in an exhibition or event, complete a transaction and communicate back to you. We never sell, rent or exchange our supporters’, members’, or visitors’ personal information without their express consent.
We receive credit card information from our supporters to process donations and from members and visitors to participate in exhibitions and events. We do not keep credit card information after contributions and fees are processed. We use a credit card processing company to process contributions. Neither WSA nor this credit card processing company retains, shares, stores or uses personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. This information is only used to process the transaction.
The WSA site may contain links to sites or affiliated organizations and other sites we thought might be useful. While we try to link only to sites that share our high standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by other sites. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by our website – wellesleysocietyofartists.org.
Opting Out and Corrections
When visitors supply us with contact information, they may receive periodic contacts from us with WSA updates or news about upcoming events.
