Pilar Figueira is a Portuguese artist based in Wellesley, MA. She creates period paintings that feel deeply familiar, using oil to capture the essence of memory and nostalgia. Her work explores how identity is shaped as generations pass, drawing from old photographs to turn memories into new stories. The women in her paintings play a key role in this dance between memory and art.
