An Evening with Artist Nancy Colella
May 7 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The Wellesley Society of Artists, in partnership with the Wellesley Free Library (WFL) welcome artist Nancy Colella on May 7th at 6:45-8:15pm in the Wakelin Room at the WFL . A full-time artist for 30 years, Nancy will share some of the lessons she has learned, the characters she’s met and how making art has changed her outlook and the direction of her life. She believes that being an artist is a lifelong journey and that just the act of creating is the true reward. She continually explores and experiments with new materials, techniques, and approaches and will share some of her discoveries.
Her Power Point presentation will give a brief overview of her personal journey and how certain experiences affected the course of her career. She will also share some highlights of her highly sought after Modern Painting class; a fun class that is designed for experienced painters working in any medium, who want to explore ways to create more modern, bold, and expressive paintings.
There will be a short question-and-answer period after the presentation.
This program is free and open to the public
