Polly Smith
Natick, MA
Polly Smith is a plein air watercolor painter who searches for scenes that touch her heart, hoping that her results will touch yours. She prefers scenes with structures, especially farm buildings, in natural settings that present perspective challenges. Her goal is to create paintings that are believable, engaging, and memorable.
Polly has studied with Mick Watson, Marguerite Lawlor, DeWitt Hardy, Russel Whitten, and Gary Tucker. Polly has completed several 365 days online, mentoring courses with the Tuscon Art Academy, including with Andy Evnsen and Mitch Baird. Polly was a working member of the Stable Art Gallery in Damariscotta, Maine for several years after retiring from corporate work. When she lived in Maine, Polly was juried into many years of the St. Bartholomew’s Annual Art Sale, LL Bean’s Octoberfest art show/sales, and various other outdoor art markets.
In North Carolina and Maine before moving to Massachusetts, Polly sold her paintings to friends and neighbors.
