Maria is an up and coming artist, and has been painting under the tutorage of Nan Rumpf, Sarah Alexander, and Jill Pottle. She has concentrated her work in watercolor and acrylic painting. A native of Puerto Rico, Maria’s artwork is influenced by the bright and vibrant colors of her heritage. Her work is eclectic, ranging from detailed to abstract paintings of nature, landscapes, buildings, people, and beyond. This eclectic variety has inspired her to develop themed paintings as part of her “Collection” series: “The Landscapes and Sites Collection”; “The Floral Collection 1,2,3 &4; “The Lighthouse Collection”; “The Audubon Collection”; “The Red Sox Collection”; and perhaps her most favorite- “ The Boston Collection”. In addition to WSA, Maria is a member of the Danforth Museum of Art.
