Naomi Y. Wilsey, is both an artist and an art teacher, and paints primarily in watercolors. Nature and the outdoors often inspire the subject matter for her art, which include traditional landscapes, florals and still life. She also paints in the manner of Japanese brush painting –“sumi-e.”
Art is a meaningful focus for Naomi and serves as a communication vehicle. She enjoys painting en plein air with friends especially when traveling to new or favorite places. She participates as a member of art associations and strives to share her art through group and individual exhibits.
Naomi holds a B.A. in Fine Arts and Education and an M.S. in Communications Management. Her work experience has utilized her art background including being a full-time art teacher, a graphic designer and a marketing manager.
