Register Artwork for the “Great Escape” at TCAN
Join us for our second celebration of abstract art!
The Center for Arts Natick (TCAN)
The Great Escape
January 31 – February 28
Artwork Registration January 9-23
Georgia O’Keefe was a pioneering modernist painter and said, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way – things I had no words for.” With that in mind, participants are invited to submit artwork that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality, but instead uses shapes, colors, forms, and marks to achieve effect and meaning. This definition may include the realm of surrealism that seeks to challenge accepted norms. In showcasing abstract art, this call encourages artists to create paintings that express insights and explore ideas without the anchor of representational symbols.
Registration Fee is $20.00 – One Entry Per Member
